What a bummer.
The “incident” they are talking about lasted less than 5 minutes. We stood in a really long line to check in, and an empty line started taking people out of turn, letting those who just walked up cut in front of those who were waiting. I complained (no cussing or yelling) that this was wrong, and told them I was irritated. Apparently, that is enough to get you banned. No opportunity to explain or apologize, no warning, just out. I think that is ridiculous, and I would not attend this event again out of principle. I have never had a problem at any other event, and this is provincial and unreasonable.

Wow that is very uncalled for. I would be irritated about the line issue too. I can’t believe they wouldn’t contact you about the issue after or during the show. And then to forcibly refund you and not let you in because they made a mistake.
Sadly I can see people of my generation that may be running these things now doing that. I can’t stand their lack of customer service because at the end of the day they are running a business. Now I agree that previous generations made customer service too customer oriented. Sometimes you need to be able to tell someone they are wrong, the word “no”, and also to fuck off when needed. There is no reason the customer should be treated like royalty or that they are always right. Because as humans we aren’t and they will just need to live with that. Fuck CSI scores in particular.
I agree you should not attend this event again either, but I also feel you should send them a reasonable email explaining the “incident” and that you feel this is an unjust response .
